Wacky Cans / Wacky Can Labels
The super-rare Wacky Packages Cans were issued as a 12-title test set in 1980, probably in response to Fleer's Chug-A-Cans. This Wacky Can set is one of the very last Topps sets painted by famed Wacky Package artist Norm Saunders before retiring.
The cans are about 2" tall and filled with Topps' Gold Rush Gum.
They are usually refered to as Wacky Can Labels rather than Wacky Cans, because the labels show up more often than the cans themselves.
The 12 titles were A'cent, Aquax, Coma, Dr. Peeper, Foney, Forger's, Hawaiian Punks, Libber's, Pigs Blue Ribbon Beer, Pro-Grossout, Tropicanine, and White Duck
The orange test box had no external markings and contained 24 Wacky Cans (two full sets of 12)
