Wacky Artist Tom Sutton

While working on and off as an artist for Topps, Tom would draw horror shorts on the weekends.  Usually he could knock out a completed 4 to 8 page episode before the next work week began.

In the summer of 1969, a few months after painting the Wacky Ads, Tom was the first artist to draw Vampirella.  The sexy vixen in her trademark open-front outfit (shockingly absent on these pages, since we first meet her in the shower) have remain virtually unchanged for almost 40 years.
