Paul Laikin was a gag writer on the 1967 Die-cuts.  For Camals Cigarettes, Paul went back six years to a joke he wrote while working as the Editor of Cracked Magazine in 1961.

"Camal" was one of their "Cracked Wrapper" cut-outs, which were meant to be colored and wrapped around actual products.

1st Series Variations

 

 The stickers were printed on 4 different backings -- White (common), Tan (uncommon), Black Ludlow (rare), and Red Ludlow (rare).

A Maddie Boy Variation is missing the shaded areas on the can and dog bowl.

Lost Wackys/ Unpublished Titles This 1973 first series of stickers is actually a reprint of the 1967 DieCuts.   There were 14 Titles dropped before the 1st Series started production, and one title, Janitor-in-a-Slum, which was never  published.
