If you look closely at the regular box, you can see that the models are actually wearing test patches. Both kids have the same 8 titles on each of their jackets. (Kook-Aid is on the boy's sleeve behind the "K" in "WACKY", and 6-up is on his pocket behind the "Y".
The back side of the box shows the exact same titles, minus Crust.
The Wacky Patches box (right) came shipped in a cardboard sleeve (left). Toward the end of the series, Topps placed a 19 cent sticker over the 39 cent price to push surplus inventory.
